ECOMY unveils its pioneering EcoWarrior programme !
EcoWarrior is an exclusive wholesome programme developed by ECOMY to rehabilitate, recycle, reforest and educate the public on the importance of natural landscapes and its importance towards coastal wellbeing, erosion, local communities and as an active step to address climate change.
EcoWarrior uses a multi-prong approach to clean up coastal areas, recycle and repurpose materials, engage local communities, rescue and germinate key local coastal plants and seedlings and to create environmental awareness amongst members of the public through meaningful strategic partnerships with local authorities and the corporate sector.
Our pioneer activity in partnership with The Beach School at Pantai Teluk Pelanduk, Port Dickson, is our contribution and call to action in support the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Specifically, EcoWarrior aims to address Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities & Communities), Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption & Production), Goal 13 (Climate Action) & Goal 14 (Life Below Water).
EcoWarrior activities will see partnerships and community engagements that include activities such as
- Beach & coastal clean-ups
- Recycling
- Repurposing of plastic bottles and containers
- Rescuing and germination of local coastal plants
- Raising of awareness and environmental education for all stakeholders
Our event this December is sponsored by Veritas Design Group & supported by Majlis Perbandaran Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan (Port Dickson City Council) and the office of the Port Dickson Member of Parliament.
ECOMY as an active member of the GWCN (Global Waste Cleaning Network) and our local partner in Port Dicskson, The Beach School, welcomes members of the public to support our initiatives and for corporate and socials bodies to join us as partners.
